OIL SCOOPS, Start the Blog Presses, EB is back

Turds in a blanket, I'm back!

Back to doing what I arguably do best, covering American Politics with the zest of a lemon and the zeal of lemon.

Now you would probably think that coming back to the rough and tumble game of political coverage, it would take me a while to get back into the swing of things (expecially after the deeply spiritual sabatical I just took to work on me, and to also work on some passion projects) and catch up with the rest of the 24/7 Mega News community.

But, this crafty old, weasely old news dawg already got his first big honkin' scoop.

OIL!

Black gold that is, and Hillary is covered in it. dripping wid it. Hillary Clinton is hiding so much in OIL revenues its enough to make somebody blue in the face. And thats not it in terms of huge revelations this week...

The House Transitional Committee voted to back down on foriegn transport in the wake of startleing revelations about the Yemeni Consolute in Beirut. A diplomatic war of aggression has broken out in the fabled city of the fertile crescent and many analysts are heading for both the proverbial and literal hills. The high water mark came just four minutes ago (at the time of publication) when the High Sheik Daskani of Beirut's fabled Eastern Corridor led a march to the steps of the Yemeni Consulate and led out a shout that could be heard all throughout Lebanon Plaza.

Now where do I come in to this heaving, heaping mess. Well not only am I internationally well connected enough to know that someone on the otherside of the world shouts just four minutes later, I am uniquely qualified to deduce the connection between Ms. Clinton and the rabble being roused half a world away in the fertile crescent.

You see, if you follow the trail of oil, quite literally, might i add, from Hillary's sludgy feet, they might just lead you where you are looking...FUUUUCK. fuck. fuckfuckfuckfuck FUUUUUUUUCK. I just can't do it. I thought I could do it but I can't...

To paraphrase NFL great Brett Farve who retired a couple weeks ago, I just get tired. Tired of having the weight of the world on my shoulders and tired of everybody watching my next move to see what I'm going to do. It's too bad because I've got too much talent and repoire and too much to say, and the American Community NEEDS to hear what I have to say, but I just can't do it. There'll be other Bloggers Political Extrodinaire, outstanding men of character who are willing to say what they mean and have the means and the resources to say it, but for now, I think I desperately need to go back on sabatical.

I may be back someday. Maybe when the world needs an incicive political blogger most desperately, or maybe not then. I'm not making any promises though. For now I just feel like I just need to be me for me, you know what I mean? Please keep me in your secular prayers, readers, and I'll think about you too.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://thepoliticsdaily.blogspot.com/2008/03/hillary-oil-scoops-start-blog-presses.html' title='Hillary! Some suggestions were made about what to do in the meantime while on sabatical, and everybody thought it would be best for me to take some time to pursue my original passion, fiction writing.
Back in 1978, I was studying creative fiction at the Albert Moses College for Fictional Writings at The University of Idaho, Lava Hot Springs Campus and that is when I starting writing my fiction masterwork. I got a little distracted with all my successes in recent decades, but I was happy to be able to take the last couple weeks to thrust myself back into the mode of storytelling. Here goes...

Uninhabitable Bodies/Astrological Crimes

Chapter 1.
Introductions All Around

Bertard was an astronaut. He knew all about buttons and switches and toggles and life and physics! Above all physics! Which isn't to say that he wasn't fit, because he was also very fit because of a rigorous fitness program required of him by his workplace and to some degree because of personal discpline. Theb what in the world was he doing wandering around a grody part of a horrible citty muttering to himself about trying to stop time and the nature of getting old and pennies falling out of his head and how best to visualize the physical representation of self imposed limits on the mind. He was there for drugs of course. But not just any drugs, there was this special drug that not even NASA could trace, nobody could do it!
The catch was that the drug was pretty hard to find cause the penalties were pretty steep if you got caught selling it. "God fuck this suck dick nipple twist," Bertrand thought to himself out load. "Did I saw that out load?" he then asked out loud? He had and he was really starting confusing himself. He needed that drug previously mentioned, which was, incidentally called "Drug Number Infiniti" and he needed it bad. Also incidentally and strangely at the same time, there was no street slang name for "Drug Number Infiniti," everybody pretty much always called it by its full name whenever they talked about it, but people tried to not talk about it that often so they wouldn't get into trouble.
Bertard thought he had bought it off an abandoned loading dock in this neighborhood one time. He sat down on the dock and leaned against a box.

Next time...
1. You find out more about what happens.
2. A surpirse character is introduced.
3. A surprise plot twist is revealed.
4. Lengthy descriptions of buildings and landscapes previously mentioned.

Panic Attack

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_Eos5C3RehCg/R8HRQNAJCBI/AAAAAAAAABk/2ZCL21cIK_s/s400/frowny-face-150.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5170643923496405010" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_Eos5C3RehCg/R8HRQdAJCCI/AAAAAAAAABs/4N4RU0dbWtk/s400/joshEdnote.gif" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5170643927791372322" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_Eos5C3RehCg/R8HQ-tAJCAI/AAAAAAAAABc/lJxBdfRYP4s/s400/IMG_0178.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5170643622848694274" />
A couple of days ago i had a panic attack because I had laid out my socks and set the alarm but then i forgot what to do. For instance, you don't really hear anybody talking about the Sudan now that there's an election. Bill Clinton will play his saxaphone and John Edwards will walk around looking like a sexed out maniac, and everybody will forget all about the Global State of Absolute Chaos.

And you know that the pundits are happy for the break from real reportage and they can talk about all the fluffy stuff like who's got a cat and who's daughter is fat and the economy. I'll tell you right now though, that things are going really bad in one part of Africa I like to call the Sudan. They can't get any food and its very scary. Everybody has guns and there's always horrible music playing and people who are more handsome get special priviledges. Tall people are better at sports. And the economy has never been worse and do you know why? Because the rest of the world is too busy holding elections and reading about them in all the magazines. Magazines which could be better used by people in the Sudan or other bad parts of the world where they might have designs on learning how to read.

And I'll tell you this right now, if you want another World War II, just keep going the way things are going, because right now Africa is destabilized, and then maybe all of Africa will get pissed off that nobody is paying attention and they'll band together and all chip in to get a nuclear missile and they'll shoot it in every direction, and don't you think that that will get things heated up?

You Know It!
EB

Barack Obama Pistol Whipped me

How's it going everybody?

The other day I had the fine fortune of being offered an exclusive (interview) with Barack Obama. Oh, you know it, tomorrow is Super Tuesday, which is essentialy just the Superbowl of Politics just on Steroids. What I mean to say is that its huge, its basically the biggest day in Politics of the year.

Believe or not, this year the candidates are really heating up and you won't believe what they're saying about each other.

-Hillary Clinton "I've had enough of Obama!"

-Obama "Did you ever notice that Hillary Clinton is Ugly?"

-Cheney "Will you candidates just give it a rest already?"

-Moorman "No"

-Cheney "How's that?"

-Moorman "Why would I do what you say. Pretty soon you won't even be VEEP anymore, and I might be President."

-Cheney "You're RIGHT!"

So you already see how this might effect the stock market, right? lan Greenspan is certainly talking about it, that's for sure, just look at the Super Bowl last night, all the ads you love so much? Prime example of consumer confidence in the elections. If the consumers are confident that they will buy more stuff, they will make more ads, and all the President candidates will try harder to win. Do you know ANYTHING about politics? I hope not, cause we don't have time for that, THE ELECTION IS TOMORROW!

My advice is just suck a big dong and then just vote for Moorman, loser.

EB forever

Broken Links

Also, please bear with me while none of my links to other blogs work. I had somewhat high hopes for them for some reason, but for lunch we were served a pizza bagel, ranch dressing, soggy carrots and a kit kat bar.

At this point I was thinking that the couple was Polish, and they both ate the ranch dressing, which was a huge dissapointment.
That's America's great shame, ranch dressing is. I fell into a funk. But then the guy saved it by ordering two cans of Mott's tomato juice and drinking them in sucession before holding his wife's creepy hand for the rest of the flight (two or more hours!). "The Jane Austen Book Club" was the in flight movie fyi tmi google.

And oh boy, I got the feeling that they noticed me watching them and thought I was the strange one. The shoe's really on the other foot now, huh? Whatever, I'm a big shot who went to Sundance Film Festival and they're just a bunch of foriengers who maybe went to or through Houston (International?) Airport. I really should track them down and see if they want to share my Picassa photo album from the flight though. Yes folks, there's no escaping Iraq and the war that continues to go on there. It seems like everybody's got a story on it, and that includes you.
I'd rather not mention my peronal connection to it, but o.k., I will. I guess there's a measure of pricavy you give up when you become a public creature in the form of making your living by having a pupbblic blog which is an analysis of recent political phenomenons and ephemora.
The war in Iraq effects everybody from the old to kids everywhere. If you think you are safe from its effects then look s again. It raises taxes and our soldiers even die, and what's not to say look out for the Iraqis. Theyu could tip the whole balance of power from one way to another without even looking. The whole region could blbow up like a powder keg and then the U.N., and it could have far reaching results even all the way over in the good old U.S.A. So don't think that you can just hide your head in the sand and look the other way, because in any direction you look (and especially under the sand), Iraqis are there, making life miserable forr everybody who doesn't worship at the idol of oil prices.
That's right, I'll be the first to say, this is a war about oil, and about freedom, trading one for the other and back again.
If you don't heed my warning, it will definitely, definitely come true.
So good citizens, kind readers, realize where we've been, and where were going. History is just one big spin cycle... and I'm not gonna let it do that to me or to my country, because I'm a Patriot, and what about you?

George Tenet on 60 mintes last night

Did anybody see George Tenet on 60 minutes last nite? To change gears a bit, I'd like to ask my family to cool it with all the blogging and please respect my blog, and allow me to concentrate on the important work i'm doing. Its become kind of a sideshow to have all of you constantly airing the Bernsely family laundy (not necessarily clean or dirty) in front of all of the washington players and policy wonks who read The Daily Politics every day to keep up on need to oknw information.

Now that I've taken care of that, how about Barack Obama, it seems like he's really starting to get it, really starting to get into it, and settle into his growth as a public figure. Also, if stereotypes are to be trusted, he has an unconscionably huge dong. That being said, lets not get too excitdd, because there's alse Hillary, and John Edwards (sic). Hillary has got a lot to say, and Edwards has been around the barrell a few too many times to know not to slip up down the stretch. I think we're going to have an interesting race on our hands. A race riot if we're not careful. Just kidding, because I don't really see that happnnig.

Tommorow, the Republicans mathc up.

http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.meib.org/images/f_tenet_george2.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.meib.org/articles/0101_ip1.htm&h=237&w=200&sz=10&hl=en&start=16&um=1&tbnid=7ozP-5sLnSwkUM:&tbnh=109&tbnw=92&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dgeorge%2Btenet%26svnum%3D10%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26client%3Dsafari%26rls%3Den%26sa%3DN

Today's post is happy news on a personal front.

I'm happy welcome my wife, Mrs. Bernsley, to blogging. You might think that it would make me uncomfortable to have my wife blogging right along side me, but so far things have been o.k. We have very different styles. My blog includes in depth analysis of the latest ins and out and goings on in the Beltway scene, from in depth policy analysis to some light hearted gossip just to lighten the mood, while Mrs. Bernsley's is more whine-centric.

Just so you know honey, blogging isn't for everyone. It takes a lot of thought, a lot of hard work, and a fair amount of having gone to college.

That being said, the blogosphere is definitely the free market of ideas where everyone can and should be able to have their ideas heard. It is truly democratizing what was once a monopoly in the media. We should all be so lucky as to live on this planet on this glorious day...Now!!

A Poem about Politics (Daily)

Democrats, Republicans, Mexicans,
Politicians

The fabric of
our democracy
swirrling and twirling
round a cock ring sea

as Mary said to Joseph
at the sea of Galilee

"We aint gonna wait
until year aught twenty three

its time to take some action
time to let our spirits soar.

we gotta get out there and vote
against self righteous mores.

tell moma and tell papa
tell little baby sue.

tell georgie and vincente
call up gianni too

we're gonna make a stink
gonna make a big tadoo

time to let the bastards have it
we'll pull a twenty three skidoo."

Now you may think that M and J
have nothing left to say

Well, get out of town,
go suck an egg,
go call vincente
and stay the hell away
Cause I am in love with the ole USA

I (Ed Bernsely) am hoping that someone sets this to music and it becomes the new national anthem because the current one seems embarrassingly out of date.

Scandal strikes grips quiet Washington, D.C. town

bloggy woggy doodle all day, and wasn't today a doozy. did any of you catch the herald tribune today? Of course the big news of the day is that Michael Jordan (no not that MJ) is deeply embroiled in another scandal, my favorite type, a political scandal. Rep. Michael Jordan (I-AL) has been up to old tricks. As always, the ins and out of the situation are quite hard to follow, but to serve as a quick catch up, Rep. Jordan was caught stuffing cashiers checks amounting to over 25USD down the swim trunks of a young transgendered pool cleaner working the olympic sized pool in the basement of Capital Hill.

Brendan Rancier, the 15 year old pool boy, has been remanded into protective custody, and has of yet been unavailable for comment. A supervisor, Austin Murphy of D.C. Pools said that usually Rancier worked on the large crew of mostly younger workers who clean the Reflecting Pool at the National Mall. "I danno know what the f*ggo Ranceeeer wurs doin over ons Cappy Hill. he supposa be over atta reflecin pawl. jeez dunnit i cheesed 'im yesserday if i sed it once i said it agin," Murphy, of Alexandria, V.A. said in a press conference held earlier today.

It is unclear what consequence this series of events will hold for Rep. Jordan. As of this afternoon, he has stood by his original position that he will not step down from his position despite repeated pleading from the Independent Party Whip, Rep. Jim Libsnaire (I-CA).

Jordan has already weathered implication in two complicated scams involving high level financial cons, as well as a conviction for evidence planting in a pending trial involving the murder suicide of his wife Marthat Jordan (for more information on that trial visit www.marthatjordankilledherkidsthenkilledherself.com) and two children.

That adding to the fact that Jordan was able to miss all Congressional Proceedings during his almost 20 year long NBA career without any political backlash has lead most political analysts to believe that this scandal will just blend in with what is already being called a long, colorful, violent, unabashed, dynastic, funky, immoral, underwater career.

house splits on reapproriations funding bill

SUCK ON ALL THE JIZZES AVI K

<img style="cursor:pointer; I recently left my position as Politics editor at the Washington Herald Tribune to enjoy the freedom and journalistic tools that the internet have created. It is my understanding that blogs are rapidly overtaking more traditional forms of print in many fields, but most expeciallyin the 24/7 constantly moving world of political journalism.

Below is, admittedly, just a list of names and dates that will hopefully ensure that this blog is googled frequently. Still hope you enjoy, though -- EB

Jack Abramoff
Arnold Palmer
1968
1972
Jackie Mason
Colin Powell
1870
Thomas Moore
9/11/01
Dimitri Shastakovitch
Lenin
Trotsky
Boston
Motor City Miracle
Niger
Osama bin Laden
Thomas Paine
Kant
Marconi
Benjamin Franklin
Noam Chomsky
Borat
Sasha Baron Cohen
Taj
Fez
1744
King James
Cody from Step by Step
Jonathan Rhys Meyers
Scooter Libby
Rodney Harrison
Rumsfeld
Condaleeza Rice
Donald Trump
Nebraska
at large
Steve Carrell
French Stewart
Jon Stewart
Ali Ababwa
Iraq
Topanga
Iran
Saudi Arabia
Lebanon
Israel
conflict
hamburger
1/1/00
9/14/02
5/17/01
3/9/05
Jim Morrison
Bob Dylan
Morrisey
Alex
Biff Tannon
1967
1968
Sam Lloyd
Zack Braff
1951
1952
Tom Waits
1953
1954
1955
1956
1957
1958
1595
1959
Beyonce Knowles
1960
Hugh Jackman
Kristen Chenowith
1961
1962
1963
1964
1965
My Chemical Romance
Patton
David Cross
Albany
O'Reilly
Lowenstein
french fries
Faust
